What do I need to do to complete a SIMTICS module?

If this is your first time using SIMTICS, we recommend going through the Tutorial, as it explains what each section in a module does, and what you can complete.

Your instructor should tell you specifically what they would require you to do, but normally it's the following:

  • watch the video and read through the text (in the Overview section) to understand about the procedure;

  • check through the Anatomy so you know what you’ll be working with for the procedure;

  • then move on to the Simulation and do that in Learn mode so the system guides you through it, then Practice it before you do the Test mode simulation.

  • and finally there is a Quiz to test your knowledge on aspects of the procedure that can’t be tested in a simulation.

In summary, the Test Mode Simulation score is usually what gets graded, but sometimes the Quiz is required to be completed too.
